The open fields here are spotted with clumps of fruiting plants such as Flowering Dogwood, Multiflora Rose, mulberries, Fox Grape, Porcelainberry,
and crabapples that provide food and shelter for birds and small mammals. Monarchs, Sulfurs and Cabbage White butterflies nectar on the clovers and
the bright purple of New England Aster in the grass. Not open to the public (no parking) but can be accessed by Pennoyer Woods, by appointment with
the Warden, Tom Hornosky at [email protected]. Located on Duck Pond Road in Glen Cove.
